I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor in good standing with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCC #1327). I obtained a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute and also hold B.A. and B.Ed. degrees from the University of Western Ontario.

I hold certification in EMDR Level I & II therapy and as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I recently completed a Diploma in Five Elements Acupressure (DipFEA), Member of NHPC) and am thrilled to be able to offer this psychoneuroimmunology (mind-body-psyche) modality.
Areas of interest and expertise include: childhood wounding, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and meaning in life.
I use an integrated, holistic, trauma-informed approach which focusses on unconscious material, rich in meaning and healing. Thus, my current offerings include Five Elements acupressure and EMDR which deal with (at times) repressed, unconscious memories and their associated feelings and thoughts which are stored in the body (not just the mind!). They also show up in our dreams, body symptoms, metaphors, and images. This is somatic-based, whole-brain, bottom-up therapy.
I have authored the book, “Soul Reflections: Living a More Conscious & Meaningful Life,” was a columnist (‘The Joy of Being Jung’) for the former Oceanside Star paper, and had a 4-year monthly ‘Mindful Moment’ spot on The Beach 88.5 FM.
With over fifteen years of experience, extensive training, as well as many personal/career transitions, I have learned that most growth and healing involves some form of loss — the letting go of parts of self, of misconceptions, of expectations, of life being a certain way, of control, etc. Five Elements Acupressure can aid in this movement and processing.
What are you being called to do? I can help you achieve a new sense of self and freedom.
